The controller responsible for data processing within the meaning of Article 4 no. 7 GDPR is Schwarz IT KG Stiftsbergstraße 1, 74172 Neckarsulm, Germany.

Purpose of processing/legal basis:

We process your and your team’s personal data for the purpose of your participation in STACKIT PowerMonths. This includes the selection within the scope of the selection process, contacting you if you win or if there are further questions.

If your team has been selected as a winning team as a result of the selection process, we also process the team’s personal data in order to enter into and perform a collaboration agreement with you and your team.

Our Terms and Conditions of Participation, and if you win STACKIT PowerMonths, the collaboration agreement, form the legal basis for the processing of your personal data pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Type of personal data:

We process the following types of personal data relating to you and your team for the purpose of your participation in STACKIT PowerMonths: first and last name, university, degree program, semester, your STACKIT PowerMonths idea and e-mail address. This data is required to register for and participate in STACKIT PowerMonths. You will not be able to participate if you do not provide this data.

If your team is selected as a winning team, it may be necessary to process additional personal data relating to your team so that a collaboration agreement can be drawn up and the services described therein can be provided. You will receive information on this separately before this personal data is collected and processed.

Origin of your data:

We collect your data and your team’s data from your team members’ details that you enter in our application form and submit at https://www.stackit.de/en/powermonths/.

Recipients/categories of recipient:

As a rule, we do not transfer the data to third parties. In exceptional cases, we will have a processor process the data on our behalf. Such processors are carefully selected, audited by us and bound by contract in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

If we transfer personal data to recipients outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the transfer will only take place if an adequate level of data protection has been confirmed for that third country by the European Commission, if an adequate level of data protection has been agreed with the data recipient (e.g., by means of EU standard contractual clauses) or if we have received your consent.

Storage time/criteria for determining storage time:

If your team has not been selected as a winning team, your personal data and your team’s data will be deleted at the latest one month after the selection process has ended.

If your team has been selected as a winning team, your personal data will be stored for as long as this is necessary to fulfill the collaboration agreement and any statutory record-keeping requirements.

Your rights as a data subject:

Pursuant to Article 15(1) GDPR, you have the right to request information, free of charge, on the personal data stored about you.

If the statutory requirements are met, you also have a right to the rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) of your personal data and the right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR).

If the processing of the data is based on Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR, within the scope of statutory requirements, you also have a right to object (Article 21 GDPR). In the above-mentioned cases, or if you have questions or complaints, please write to or e-mail the data protection officer/data protection coordinator.

You also have a right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The data protection supervisory authority located in the state in which you live or where the controller is domiciled has jurisdiction.
