Pricing STACKIT Storage

STACKIT Block Storage is a virtual hard disk storage with eight different performance classes.

The costs are made up of the following two items:

1. The allocated storage volume is used for cost accounting. This means that the storage volume is also incurred if the linked VM is not stopped. On principle, the service consumption per reserved gigabyte for disk volumes is multiplied per each started hour, and the result is displayed in the invoice. These capacity costs are independent of the selected performance flavor.
2. For the performance classes, the price per disc is charged per hour or part thereof. This means that the performance fee is multiplied by the hours used at the end of the month.

Choose the suitable performance class according to your needs. The STACKIT Storage portfolio covers use cases with up to 20,000 IOPS and 350 Mbyte/s throughput.

With STACKIT Snapshot, you can make a current data collection of your server and return to it later. This recording is not a copy of the virtual hard disk and should not be confused with a backup. The service should be regarded as a kind of “change log” and can restore data of a certain point of time.

For this reason, the cost of the snapshot is based on the data volume stored in full GB hours.

With the STACKIT Volume Backup Storage, you can achieve faster backup of your disk volumes. The data is stored redundantly in two availability zones and is physically separated from the block storage and backup storage.

In order to start a virtual machine, an operating system is required that binds a small part of root storage to the VM at the beginning. During its active time, this operating system goes through phases with different settings and various updates.

With the replicated STACKIT Image Storage, you can record and save the different phases of these operating system.

Costs are incurred per image of the storage amount per gigabyte, and per hour or part thereof.

STACKIT Object Storage can flexibly store large amounts of data across multiple availability zones and keep it scalable. The object-based storage service achieves this by means of an S3-compatible protocol that supports data within buckets.

The data capacity is measured in megabytes consumed in a 15-minute cycle and is billed at the end of the month in summed-up GB hours.
