Pricing STACKIT Storage

STACKIT Block Storage is a virtual hard disk storage with eight different performance classes.

The costs are made up of the following two items:

1. The allocated storage volume is used for cost accounting. This means that the storage volume is billed independently of the status of a possibly linked VM. In principle, the power consumption per reserved gigabyte for disk volumes is multiplied by the duration of the hours incurred, and the result is displayed in the invoice. These capacity costs are independent of the selected performance flavor.
2. For the performance classes, the price per disc is charged per hour or part thereof. This means that the performance fees are multiplied by the hours used at the end of the month.

Choose the suitable performance class according to your needs. The STACKIT Storage portfolio covers use cases with up to 20,000 IOPS and 350 Mbyte/s throughput.

Thanks to the STACKIT snapshot, you can record a current image of your server and return it at any later time. This snapshot is not a copy of the virtual hard disk and should not be confused with a backup. Only data changes compared to the previous snapshot are stored in snapshots and stored on the same physical storage.

The costs of the snapshots are based on the reserved data volume.

With Volume Backup Storage from STACKIT, you can quickly secure your disk volumes. The data is stored redundantly in two availability zones and is physically separated from the block storage.

An operating system is necessary for effective use of the VM. It occupies part of the root disk and is necessary for a functional VM.

The image is an image of a (root) volume, which usually already contains an operating system and can be used as a template for the creation of one or many VMs.

Based on this image, all VMs that were created on the basis of this image then have the same operating system, so that a separate operating system does not have to be installed individually for each VM.

Per image, costs are incurred in the amount of the storage per gigabyte and per hour or part thereof.

The STACKIT object storage can store large amounts of data across multiple availability zones in a flexible and scalable way. The object-based storage service achieves this with the help of a web-based, S3-compatible interface, which can store and structure data in buckets. This data can be authorized with bucket policies.

The object storage is billed per commenced hour per commenced gigabyte. The full cumulative GB hours can be found on the monthly invoice under this service item.
